2024 - 1974

  • 50 years HEKUMA

    HEKUMA celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2024.

  • Becoming part of teamtechnik

    HEKUMA is part of the international teamtechnik Group since July 2021.

  • New Headquarters 

    With approx. 200 employees, the new company headquarters with more than 15,500 sqm is opened in Hallbergmoos, thus closing the two previous locations in Eching.

  • Sales in China

    HEKUMA opens its first sales office in Shanghai to meet demand in the Chinese market.

  • Focusing

    HEKUMA aims its main focus on what are today's core markets – medical, automotive technology and consumer goods.

  • First Assembly Linee

    HEKUMA wins its first order for a stand-alone assembly line in the automotive sector.

  • Further Factory 

    Further expansion following the acquisition of a second factory near the main site.

  • Service in USA 

    HEKUMA is increasingly putting out feelers into the American market by employing a local service person.

  • Acquisition by elexis AG

    elexis AG takes over Richard Herbst's company, who retires a year later.

  • 1995 & 1998 Doubling the assembly area

    With extensions the assembly area becomes more than twice its size.

  • First Medical System

    HEKUMA starts its future technology leadership in the medical field with a Petri Dish automation.

  • First complete system 

    HEKUMA introduces the first complete system for the high runner "CD boxes" to the market.

  • Our own faktory building & first international delivery

    Only 10 years after the company was founded, Richard Herbst constructs the first company-owned factory building and the first system is delivered to France.

  • First fast robot 

    Development of the first fast robot, making it possible to automate the production of audio cassettes. The number of employees grows up to 11.

  • Foundation

    Richard Herbst found HEKUMA to cover the continuously growing demand for loading and take-out automation units for the plastics industry. The company's name is based on "HErbst KUnststoff MAschinen" (Herbst Plastic Machinery).
